Sometimes you want today's verse. Sometimes you need a whole passage. Sometimes you remember a few words of Scripture but cannot remember where they are found. Selah supports each of those moments without making the Bible feel like a content feed.
Read one verse or a complete passage
Start from the daily Selah or open a Bible reference directly. Selah supports single verses and verse ranges, including passages such as James 1:2-10. When a single curated verse is opened, its exact devotional reflection can appear alongside the Scripture. Passage reading remains focused on the Biblical text.
Find a Bible verse from the words you remember
The Find a Verse tool is useful when the idea is familiar but the reference is not. Enter the words or phrase you remember. They do not need to be perfectly quoted. Selah compares the wording and presents the closest likely matches, which you can then open, read aloud, share or save.
This is especially helpful for phrases heard in a sermon, remembered from childhood or recalled from a different Bible translation.
Listen to Scripture
Selah includes read-aloud controls for verses and passages. On supported devices, you can also ask Siri or Google Assistant to open Selah and read a Bible reference. Passage ranges are supported, so you can request more than one verse and listen without needing to read from the screen.
Save and share verses meaningfully
Favourite the verses you want to revisit in your journal. When sharing, Selah includes the actual Scripture text and reference so the person receiving it can read the verse immediately. Home and lock screen widgets can keep Scripture visible throughout the day on supported devices.
Your translation preference stays with you
Selah supports multiple Bible translations where licensing and availability allow. Your preferred translation is used when possible, and the app keeps the requested reference clear rather than silently replacing it with a different passage.
